Ocean Views Release

The wait is over – The Cape is now selling lots in the Final Stage – Ocean Views Release

We are excited to be selling homesites in our final and long-awaited final release at The Cape – Ocean Views Release. Lots in this release feature homesites overlooking new parks, walking paths, wetlands and waterways, and many elevated homesites have uninterrupted ocean views across Bass Strait to Wilsons Promontory to the east, and Cape Woolamai to the west. You can see the lots for sale and a flyover of the final stage.

A diverse range of home sites are available – from 394 to 918 square metres – so there are ample choices to create your idyllic sustainable home.

All sites will have access to The Cape’s vast amounts of open space, walking and cycling paths to surf and swimming beaches, beautiful community infrastructure including community garden and orchard, fitness stations, wetlands, children’s playground and the future café. All homes have high speed NBN broadband with fibre direct to the home to enable a productive, connected lifestyle.

The relaxed coastal lifestyle of The Cape is increasingly rare in southern Australia these days, yet the beautiful Bunurong Coastal Drive is 5 minutes away and the towns of Inverloch and Wonthaggi, which feature all the necessary shops and services, are only 10 minutes away. The Cape’s design process will guarantee a beautiful, passive solar, comfortable home with super low running costs, so don’t miss your chance to join Victoria’s most sustainable community.

See below for more information, but please see the above interactive map for lot prices.

Innovative community garden

Food: The Cape is proud to feature a thriving community farm, one of the largest urban food gardens in Victoria.

Residents enjoy top quality fresh produce and lower food bills, as well as health and social benefits while working their green thumbs.

The main growing system in the farm is water efficient wicking beds, which are raised off the ground, ergonomic and easy to use. Water efficient wicking beds are complimented by a greenhouse, composting areas, worm farms and social spaces, as well as a farmhouse and community building.

At the heart of the garden is the large rainwater harvest tank, which captures rainwater harvested on site, and recirculates this back through the farm. It is estimated that the rainwater harvesting system can deliver over 3 million litres of water per annum to the farm.

The Cape is very excited about the garden and rainwater harvesting project, which we hope will inspire similar endeavours in other communities.
